A world-map created inside the map-editor. The image is 1MB, and 3400 pixels x 1600 pixels. The map editor comes with the game, so you can make your own maps like this, or modify this one.

Another game screen. Regarding the multiple levels of “fog of war”: There are areas of the map which are currently visible (the brightest areas). There are areas that were visible within the last turn (a slightly darker shade) which includes all the areas airplanes have flown within the last turn. A darker shade which doesn’t show enemy units but does show the map. And, of course, there is black - which is areas of the map you know nothing about.
